CHESS, SPORTS & ATHLETICS FOR PERSON WITH DISABILITIES (PwDs)

The National Association for the Blind (NAB) is a proud and duly affiliated member of the All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) and the Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA).

Through its affiliation with AICFB, NAB is authorized to organize and conduct state- and national-level chess championships for the visually impaired, providing players with structured opportunities to compete, enhance their skills, and qualify for higher-level tournaments.

Similarly, as a member of IBSA, NAB actively promotes and conducts athletics events for persons with visual disabilities. These initiatives aim to foster physical fitness, sportsmanship, and inclusion—empowering individuals to participate confidently in competitive sports at regional, national, and international levels.

Together, these affiliations strengthen NAB’s commitment to creating a platform where persons with disabilities can realize their potential, break barriers, and achieve excellence through sports.
