About Us
National Association for the Blind – Chandigarh
What we do?
The National Association for the Blind (NAB), established in 1952, is India’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to the empowerment of the visually impaired. With 28 State Branches and 11 specialized institutions, NAB has been a pioneer in promoting education, training, and inclusion for persons with disabilities across the nation.
The Chandigarh and Punjab State Branch, registered in 1990, proudly carries forward this legacy. Through our centres in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Ludhiana, we empower individuals with visual, intellectual, and multiple disabilities by providing opportunities for inclusive education, skill development, rehabilitation, and advocacy.
Our mission is to build a society where every person with a disability lives with dignity, independence, and equal opportunity — transforming challenges into possibilities.
